After being hit, the wounded soldiers fells on the battlefield
hoping to be picked up by one of his comrades or an ambulance man searching
the battlefield for casualties. Lineol produced two different types of
casualties lying on the ground. One Lineol model represents a soldiers lying
on his back with his rifle next to him while the other model shows a soldier
lying on his belly still wearing his backpack. The same type of model was also
produced by Haußer but without the backpack. These figures are modelled in a
way that the laying soldiers are unconscious.

There are a rumours amongst collectors that this type of models
were banned from the stores by the Nazis during the the Second World War, but
this cannot be verified by the any of the sources available to the author. In
fact, these figures are not very hard to find at auctions and toy fairs and
they can still be obtained for a reasonable price.
