In the 1930’s a German manufacturer called Morgoma came
up with the idea of a battlefield which, like the Lineol and Hausser pieces
was also made with individual sections. But these were made as raised pieces
and stand about 6.5 cm high so the trenches look more realistic. There
is one problem however. As the floor cannot be used as the surface
of the battlefield, the whole terrain has to be built of this terrain
set. Therefore a considerably large number of pieces is needed to make
up the realistic scene.
The scale of the terrain set compliments the 7.5 cm scale
composition figures made by Hausser and Lineol and can ideally be used
with them. Morgoma called this terrain set "Das Kampffeld" (The Battle
Field").
