The composition manufacturers made numerous staff cars to go with the figures of the time. Here we look at some of the variations produced by Hausser.
In the late 1930th the military played a major role in German public life and soldiers in uniforms were frequently seen on the streets. While the regular soldiers were just on foot, officers often used staff cars to get around. And there were many young boys who dreamt of a career as an army officer, wearing a shining uniform and driving around in such a car.
In their 1936 catalogue Hausser offered a staff car for the first time (catalogue no 733). It was a detailed model of the Horch Kübelwagen that was used at this time by the Wehrmacht. This car was equipped with a strong clockwork engine, so that it could drive on the floor after being wound up. The front wheels could be turned left and right, to make the car driving circles.
