Staff Cars

Bottom of Hausser Staff Cars

On the right side there was a little trigger to start and stop the clockwork engine. Up to this time the tires of all Hausser vehicles where made of tin. However this new staff car was the first vehicle to be equipped with some real rubber tires. The catalogue mentions this fact as a special quality of this car. The price for this car was five Reichsmark, which was probably more than an average worker earned for an eight hours working day.

One year later Hausser already offered in the 1937 catalogue a additional improved version of this staff car (catalogue no 733½). While both cars were based on the same chassis, a few nice details were added to this second version. The canvas roof was full functional and could be used in up and down position. In addition this version had electric head lights, which could be switched on in the dark.
