The figure of an officer observing through a binocular periscope was produced by Lineol as part of the standard infantry series. However the figure of the observation officer who is wearing headphones instead of a helmet does not exist. In substitution a figure with a field telephone subset from the signals series can be used.

At the rear the battery officer passes on the orders to the gun commanders, which he receives from the battery's observation. Because all gun positions where within shouting distance he is using a megaphone.

A model of a soldier using a megaphone was produced by Lineol. Even this is not painted as an officer with silver rank insignias, it can be used instead of the battery officer.
