Between 1944 and 1946, after the war had ended Montgomery
continued to serve as leader of the British Military and later as deputy
Supreme Commander of NATO. 10 years later he retired and decided to write
up his memoirs. He died at the age of 88 in 1976.
Figures
No portrait figure was ever made by Lineol or Hausser.
However, after 1945 a composition figure of Montgomery was produced by
Durso, Belgium. This figure has the same scale as the 7 cm Lineol and Hausser/Elastolin
figures of other personalities, and can easily be combined with them.
